RESOLUTION NO. 98 - 067
APPROVAL OF A RESOLUTION TO PROVIDE STATE REVOLVING FUND ASSISTANCE TO MERCED COUNTY FOR THE ANIMAL CONFINEMENT DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT (LOAN NO. C-06-6050-110)
WHEREAS:
1. The County of Merced (County) has requested State Revolving Fund (SRF) assistance of $10 million for the Animal Confinement Drainage Improvements Project (Project).
2. The Project will address ground water problems associated with dairies and other confined animal facilities, including high nitrates and salinity.
3. The $10 million SRF funds will be used in conjunction with $5 million previously approved by the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) from the Agricultural Drainage Management Program to provide a total commitment of $15 million to the County for the Project.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
The SWRCB approves a resolution to provide SRF assistance of $10 million to the County for the Project, contingent upon the County beginning the Project by June 1999.

The undersigned, Administrative Assistant to the SWRCB, does hereby certify that the foregoing is a full, true, and correct copy of a resolution duly and regularly adopted at a meeting of the State Water Resources Control Board held on June 18, 1998.
