STATE WATER RESOURCES CONTROL BOARD
RESOLUTION NO. 99 - 003
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OR HIS DESIGNEE TO APPLY FOR AND ACCEPT A FEDERAL FISCAL YEAR (FFY) 1998 CLEAN WATER ACT SECTION 104(B)(3) GRANT TO SUPPORT THE SACRAMENTO RIVER TOXIC POLLUTANT CONTROL PROGRAM AND TO NEGOTIATE, APPROVE, AND/OR AMEND THE GRANT AND WORKPLAN
WHEREAS:
1. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), Region 9, has indicated that it proposes to grant to the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) the sum of $519,000 in FFY 1998 Clean Water Act Section 104(b)(3) monies to support the Sacramento River Toxic Pollutant Control Program (SRTPCP).
2. The proposed grant would fund development of watershed management strategies by the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board, (Regional Board), which has indicated that it wishes to perform such activities.
3. The development of watershed management strategies, including Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) determinations, is consistent with the goals of the Regional Board's Watershed Management Initiative plans.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
The SWRCB authorizes the Executive Director or his designee to apply for and accept an FFY 1998 Clean Water Act Section 104(b)(3) grant not to exceed $519,000 to support the Sacramento River Toxic Pollutant Control Program and to negotiate, approve, and/or amend the grant and workplan.

The undersigned, Administrative Assistant to the SWRCB, does hereby certify that the foregoing is a full, true, and correct copy of a resolution duly and regularly adopted at a meeting of the State Water Resources Control Board held on January 21, 1998.
