CALL TO ORDER

The Board Meeting was called to order by John P. Caffrey, Chairman, on January 8, 1997, at 11:45 a.m., in the First-Floor Hearing Room, 901 "P" Street, Sacramento.

PUBLIC FORUM

No one addressed the Board.

WATER RIGHTS

Proposed Order to Establish Interim Instream Flow Requirements on Mammoth Creek to Comply with Order of Mono County Superior Court and to Amend Water Right License 5715 to Comply with Fish and Game Code Section 5946.

Dan Frink, Office of Chief Counsel, addressed the Board suggesting a modification to Page 5, of the Draft Order; Section 4.0 Conclusion, changing the word "existing" to "municipal".

Steve Kronick addressed the Board and referred to a letter dated January 5, 1997, from Attorney Alan Lilly, which set forth changes to the proposed order requested by Mammoth Community Water District.

Nancee Murray addressed the Board to express the Department of Fish & Game's support of the order presented by staff.

MOTION: The Board unanimously adopted the proposed order with the single modification proposed by staff. WR Order 97-01, as revised.
