Application Review | Division | Process | Upon receiving the General application package, DFA assigns a Project Manager (PM) and ranks the project on the Comprehensive List. A project must be on the current Comprehensive List to be considered for financing, but placement on the list does not constitute a commitment to provide funding. | |
Applicant | Submittal | DFA schedules kickoff meeting/call. Applicant submits any outstanding application information including California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) financial or legal documents, scope of work and budget, etc. to DFA. | ||

Upon completion of the Application Review, DFA will prepare Financing Agreement. After the contract is executed, reimbursement requests for soft costs may be submitted to DFA. Project direct soft costs incurred prior to the Agreement are eligible. | |

Project Disbursements | Division | Reimbursement | During the project and prior to project closeout DFA reviews Applicant’s claims for reimbursement and provides repayment in approximately 45 days from receipt of a clean claim. | |
Project Completion Date |
Applicant | Date | Applicant and DFA determine project completion date. The first repayment is due no later than one year later, with repayments occurring semi-annually in January and July. | |
