Planning Grant Application Package

  Applicant Submittal
Applicant submits complete application package to DFA. Major components of the application are the 1) application form, 2) a plan of study, and 3) a resolution by the local agency authorizing the grant applicant.

Grant Agreement   Division Executable
Deliverable
Upon submittal of a complete application, DFA staff will complete a review. DFA will prepare the Grant Agreement and the agreement will be sent to the applicant for signature. The agreement will then need to be mailed back to DFA for signature. When the agreement is signed by DFA, the applicant can begin to accrue costs.

Project Report

  Applicant Submittal
Applicant prepares and submits their Draft Project Report to DFA. Fifty percent of eligible planning cost may be submitted with the Draft Report.

Mid Course Meeting

  Applicant Meeting
Upon submittal of the Draft Project Report, and if desired by the applicant, DFA will visit the Applicant to review the Draft Project Report comments and visit the proposed project site.

Draft Report Approval Approve Initial 50% Payment Division Determination DFA reviews the Draft Project Report and, if the Draft Project Report meets the standards of the guidelines, prepares a Draft Approval letter. The letter includes instructions to the applicant for requesting payment on the initial 50% eligible planning costs.

Final Project Report

  Applicant Submittal
Incorporating the comments on the Draft Project Report, the Applicant prepares and submits the Final Project Report.

Final Project Report Approval Approve Finall 50% Payment Division DFA reviews the Final Project Report and, if the Final Project Report meets the standards of the guidelines, prepares a Final Project Report Approval letter.
