Erase the Waste

HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION EVENTS

Do you have old paint, leftover cleaning products or dead batteries that you want to get rid of, but don't know how to dispose of them? Take them to a free Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event, where they will be disposed of properly and safely.

Many everyday household products, such as the items listed above, contain toxic chemicals that can endanger the health and safety of our families, neighborhoods and waters if they are not disposed of properly. Any leftover or unwanted products labeled toxic, poison, corrosive, flammable, combustible or irritant are considered household hazardous waste and should never be discarded in the garbage, poured down sinks or thrown into storm drains. These items should be taken to a free Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event, where they will be safely disposed of.

  • Acceptable Items - view a detailed list of items that should be disposed of at a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event

  • Unacceptable Items - learn how to prepare for a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event, and to determine what items the collection events will not accept

Do your part to prevent pollution in your community and waters by dropping off your household hazardous waste at a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event.
