Public Water Systems Curtailment Compliance Orders - October 2014

The State Water Board, Division of Drinking Water has issued orders to 22 community public water systems to find a reliable, alternative source of water to replace that curtailed earlier this summer due to the drought. Within the affected water systems, the orders prohibit new water service connections to residences and businesses in the service area, require metering for all customers, and establish a schedule to develop a reliable alternate source of supply. This prohibition is in effect until a new source of water is identified and established for regular water service to existing customers.
