Regional Board Members, staff and interested parties participated in a tour of the Molycorp Inc. facility at Mountain Pass on September 14 from 8:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Minutes of the Regular Meeting of July 12-13, 2000 in Tahoe City..
Motion: Moved by Mr. Clarke, seconded by Dr. Nebeker and unanimously carried. to adopt the July 12-13, 2000 minutes.
- ADOPTION OF UNCONTESTED CALENDAR
Items 5 and 10 were removed from the agenda.

OTHER BUSINESS
- Presentation of Results of Meadowbrook Dairy Production Well
Investigation
Mike Plaziak, Associate Engineering Geologist, made the presentation, which included discussion of recently collected data that indicated no compromise of the production well. As a result, no further action is required of Meadowbrook Dairy regarding the subject production well.
- Reports by Chairman and Board Members
There were no reports by the Chairman or Board members.
- Executive Officer's Report
- Chromium contamination in the El Mirage area
- Water Quality Certification for the Squaw Valley Public Services District project was issued, making the finding that the project would qualify for a Basin Plan exemption
- A resolution delegating authority to the Executive Officer for granting any exemption available in the Basin Plan if the Board does not have a quorum or in an emergency situation will be placed on the October or November agenda
- Appointment of hearing panels being considered by other Regional Boards losing their quorums and the benefits derived from such a panel
- Update on Administrative Civil Liability orders issued to Swiss Mart in South Lake Tahoe and Kings Beach as well as the Beacon station in Meyers and Tahoe Tom's
- Statewide reallocation of regional board resources
- The use of reclaimed waste water for protecting the Luther Pass pump station in the event of a catastrophic fire
- Response to issues raised at the July 12-13, 2000 Board meeting pertaining to Basin Plan changes and the request from IMC Chemicals Inc. about additional changes in the beneficial use designations for Searles Lake
- Recent press coverage of Los Angeles County Sanitation District 14 in Lancaster
- General permit for sludge application has been adopted by the State Board
- Board meeting schedule for 2001
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting adjourned at 4:30 p.m.
