Project Description:
The Lake Isabella Hydroelectric Project, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Project No. 8377 (Project) is owned by Isabella Partners and is located in Kern County, California. The Project is on the Kern River, at the downstream toe of Lake Isabella reservoir. There are two dams located on Lake Isabella, the main dam and the auxiliary dam, which are owned by the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). USACE controls water releases from Lake Isabella. Water released from the main dam at Lake Isabella moves through the Project’s hydroelectric facility and discharges into the Kern River.
