Los Angeles MS4 Permit Low Impact Development (LID) Ordinances and Green Streets Policies
The Los Angeles County MS4 Permit allows Permittees the flexibility to develop Watershed Management Programs (WMP) to implement the requirements of the Permit on a watershed scale through customized strategies, control measures, and best management practices (BMPs). If Permittees request an 18-month or 30-month planning period, the Permit also requires the municipalities to develop and implement LID ordinances and green streets policies in at least 50% of the area covered by the WMP or EWMP prior to submitting the draft WMP or EWMP to the Los Angeles Regional Board. Below are the LID ordinances and green streets policies submitted from each watershed management group program participant. If you have any questions or comments regarding the LID ordinances or green streets policies please contact Ivar Ridgeway, Senior Environmental Scientist of the Storm Water Permitting Unit at (213) 620-2150.
