2007 Basin Plan Amendment
The Basin Plan Amendment for the Control of Diazinon and Chlorpyrifos Runoff into the Sacramento-and Feather Rivers (Amendment) is now fully approved and effective as of 11 August 2008. The amendment revises the water quality objectives and control program for diazinon originally adopted in 2003 and adds water quality objectives and a control program for chlorpyrifos for the Sacramento and Feather River. The amendment was adopted by the Central Valley Water Board on 3 May 2007, approved by the State Water Resources Control Board on 19 February 2008, the Office of Administrative Law on 12 May 2008 and USEPA on 11 August 2008.

This staff report addresses an amendment to the water quality control plan for the Sacramento and San Joaquin River Basins (Basin Plan). The amendment primarily addresses the regulation of agricultural pesticide runoff and discharges of diazinon and chlorpyrifos in the Sacramento River watershed. - Appendices A-G
