Project Name:

Turner Dam Spillway Rock Repair
City/County:

Sunol, Alameda County
Comment Period:

6/4/2024 - 6/24/2024
Project Description:

Greater than normal rainstorms and spillway flows during the winter 2022-2023 caused erosion of rip rap protection of slopes downstream of the Turner Dam spillway. FEMA conducted an investigation and determined areas exposed and damaged. The closest access is approximately 150 feet from the roadway and will require traversing through rip rap. The scope of work proposed will repair the area where substrate is exposed. This area was reinforced with rip rap to dissipate energy from flows from spillway overflow.
