41st Avenue/Pacific Boulevard Trash Capture Project


The San Francisco Regional Water Quality Control Board is currently reviewing an application for the following project for water quality certification under Section 401 of the Clean Water Act. Project Description:

The purpose of the Project is to install two full trash capture devices to reduce trash load in the MS-4s to assist the City in complying with this provision. The trash capture devices proposed by this Project will be used to reduce trash loads from an approximately 48-acre trash generating area within a larger 288-acre upstream section of San Mateo’s storm drain system, of which 6.5 acres of the trash generating area is owned by Caltrans.
