Project Description:

The purpose of the 901 El Camino Real Project (Project) is to allow the important land exchange with Redwood City Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Authority (Caltrain) to support its transit goals, and to support the approved DTPP, as amended, and the surrounding area in downtown Redwood City by providing an improved street grid, key transportation, stormwater and utility infrastructure; improved pedestrian and bicycle access and valuable connections and enhanced access to City open space; flood protection to minimize overbank flooding in the 100-year event and to prevent overbank flooding in smaller events; and improvements to the stability of the bed and banks of the channel in this reach.
