Project Name:

Alamo Creek Bank Stabilization And Flood Management Pilot Project
City/County:

Dublin, Alameda County
Comment Period:

2/5/2025 - 2/25/2025
Project Description:

The main purpose of this Project is to implement an ecologically uplifting approach to flood management that will reduce erosion, restore aquatic and riparian habitat, and promote public recreation. This project will also serve as a pilot project for wider use throughout Zone 7's system. The Project includes combinations of habitat uplift and bank stabilization features, collectively referred to as ‘modules.’ Module designs will direct flows to the center of the channel and away from the banks, and revegetate the banks with native plant species. The Project will provide a level of protection against flooding caused by high turbulence and flows down Alamo Creek.
