Project Name:

Arroyo Mocho Medeiros Bank Stabilization Project
City/County:

Livermore, Alameda County
Comment Period:

09/19/2026 - 10/09/2026
Project Description:

The purpose of the Proposed Project is to address erosion, bank failures, and compromised flood protection infrastructure within the Livermore area. The Project will repair two eroded bank failure sites along the Medeiros Reach of Arroyo Mocho. These repair activities are largely in response to damage incurred during significant storm events and abnormally high stream flows that contributed to substantial scour, erosion, and sedimentation within the Medeiros Reach. The Proposed Project will improve safety, stabilize and enhance local ecological conditions, restore hydraulic conditions, restore recreational access, and prevent further damage.
