Green Valley Creek Woody Debris Structures Phase 2 |
City/County: |
Alamo, Contra Costa County |
Comment Period: |
9/18/2024 - 10/8/2024 |
Project Description: |
The active channel incision occurring on the 1,600 linear feet of Green Valley Creek owned by the WGHOA is likely due to a combination of several factors including the development of the watershed in the 1980s and 1990s, the construction of a retention basin on the Bryan Ranch HOA upstream of the White Gate reach, and well-intentioned management practices that have resulted in a reduction of large wood from entering the stream channel. |
