Hayward Maintenance Complex Phase 2 (BART)


The San Francisco Regional Water Quality Control Board is currently reviewing an application for the following project for water quality certification under Section 401 of the Clean Water Act. Project Description:

The overall purpose of the project is to satisfy public need by providing more frequent and reliable transit service through the BART system primarily through San Francisco and Oakland. The project would allow for more frequent and reliable service to the core of the BART system. The project purpose is to provide a vehicle storage yard and connecting trackwork to would allow BART to store and efficiently dispatch 250 BART cars towards San Francisco and Oakland.
