Lake Aliso Spillway Repair and Rehabilitation and Lion Creek Stabilization Projects |
| City/County: |
Oakland, Alameda County |
| Comment Period: |
4/14/2026 - 05/4/2026 |
| Project Description: |
The existing conditions present safety and flooding concerns, including the deteriorated concrete spillway and large scour pit that have caused habitat damage, unstable slopes, and walking trail hazards. Uncontrolled creek flow during Water Year 2023 caused dam backside scouring and vegetation loss. The spillway has continued to deteriorate, and chunks of concrete have been falling into the basin below. |
