Lower Alameda Creek Flow Monitoring

The San Francisco Regional Water Quality Control Board is currently reviewing an application for the following project for water quality certification under Section 401 of the Clean Water Act. We encourage public comments on the proposed work, which will be considered in the decision on certification. You may submit comments on this project to the staff member below.

Project Name:

Lower Alameda Creek Flow Monitoring
City/County:

Fremont, Alameda County
Comment Period:

8/21/2024 - 9/10/2024
Project Description:

To calibrate a groundwater model, detailed data on gains and losses of surface flow is needed. Unfortunately, the existing USGS gages are not designed for such low flows and accuracy, so we are proposing to monitor flow at two stations between the BART weir and Decoto road for 2 -3 weeks this September.
