Project Name:

Lower Calera Creek Inline Check Valve Installation For The Lower Berryessa Creek Program
City/County:

Milpitas, Santa Clara County
Comment Period:

4/11/2026 - 05/1/2026
Project Description:

Installation of the inline check valves is intended to prevent backflow from Lower Calera Creek from entering the City of Milpitas storm system, which could contribute to flooding within adjacent residential and commercial areas north and south of the creek. No downstream flooding impacts are anticipated as a result of the project, and there would be no change in flow conveyance capacity of the creek channel or the size of the low flow channel as a result of proposed project activities.
