The San Francisco Regional Water Quality Control Board is currently reviewing an application for the following project for water quality certification under Section 401 of the Clean Water Act. Project Description:

The Walnut Creek City Council accepted the conceptual site plan for the replacement of the existing Community Center and Clarke Swim Center at Heather Farm Park into a combined facility as a part of the Your Parks, Your Future initiative. This initiative is a multi-phased planning process that will ensure parks, community facilities, and programs serve the greater Walnut Creek community into the future. In order to help fund the proposed project, Walnut Creek Voters approved Measure 0, a sales tax measure to fund current and future quality of life needs. A portion of the dollars collected as part of Measure O will contribute to funds of the construction of the new facility at Heather Farm Park. Construction is anticipated to begin in July of 2025 and would take approximately 24 months.
