Project Name:

Paulin Crossing And Landslide Repair Project
City/County:

Unincorporated, San Mateo County
Comment Period:

2/24/2025 - 3/16/2025
Project Description:

The Paulin Crossing is currently not open to the public, but the road is used by Midpen, residents, and Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E). The crossing is identified in the 2007 Road and Trail Erosion Inventory for Midpen as a bridge crossing at risk of failure. The proposed design includes the removal of the existing concrete crossing and culverts with a free span design with abutments above the 100-year flood event. The design also includes restoration of the creek that will improve habitat for aquatic species and retain hydraulic capacity of the creek. Construction is anticipated to start in 2026.
