Project Name: |
Pond Y Repair |
City/County: |
Pleasanton, Alameda County |
Comment Period: |
8/20/2024 - 9/9/2024 |
Project Description: |
Starting in January 2023, the State of California, including Alameda County, experienced severe storm events that resulted in issuance of emergency declarations at the local, state and federal level. As a result of these storms and related releases from the Del Valle Dam, the ADV channel morphology significantly and unexpectedly changed, causing flows to concentrate at and along the east end of the berm separating the ADV from Pond Y. As a result, the berm has eroded and its stability has been severely compromised, leaving the berm susceptible to an imminent failure. |
