Portola Redwoods Fish Passage and Habitat Enhancement Project, Phase 1


The San Francisco Regional Water Quality Control Board is currently reviewing an application for the following project for water quality certification under Section 401 of the Clean Water Act. Project Description:

The San Mateo Resource Conservation District (RCD), in partnership with the California Department of Parks and Recreation (State Parks), is proposing the Portola Redwoods Fish Passage and Creek Enhancement Project, Phase 1 (Project). The project will restore ancestral migration and enhance habitat to support the recovery of federally endangered Central California Coast (CCC) coho salmon (Oncorhynchus kisutch) and federally threatened steelhead trout (O. mykiss), as well as other native aquatic species in the Pescadero Creek watershed within Portola Redwoods State Park.
