Railroad Marsh Aquatic Plant Management Project


The San Francisco Regional Water Quality Control Board is currently reviewing an application for the following project for water quality certification under Section 401 of the Clean Water Act. Project Description:

The project is required to maintain flood control capacity of Railroad Marsh in advance of an anticipated Super El Nino winter to prevent loss of, or damage to life, property, and public services in the Town of Tiburon due to potential flood conditions. The marsh serves an essential flood control capacity for immediately adjacent residences and Town Hall, which serves as a Community Resilience Center during local emergencies and power outages.
