| Project Description: | The purpose of the proposed project is to dredge and remove stream sediments that have built up in the Refugio Valley Park Pond (Pond) since its construction in the 1980s. The proposed pond dredging and sediment removal is a necessary maintenance activity, and will help improve the hydrology of the Pond and Refugio Creek because built-up sediment can impede water flow between the Pond and the downstream portion of Refugio Creek. In addition, dredging the Pond will return the Pond to aesthetically pleasing open water habitat for enjoyment of visitors to the Park. |
