History and Purpose

In fall 2016, the State Water Resources Control Board Office of the Delta Watermaster initiated sponsorship of the Delta Measurement Experimentation Consortium (Consortium) to develop a path toward the implementation of Senate Bill (SB) 88 related to diversion measuring and reporting. The Consortium invites stakeholders to meet quarterly to review results of on-going experiments related to:

• meter brands/makes/types;
• device costs;
• unforeseen challenges and potential solutions; and
• data recording/retrieving methods

The Consortium also aims to develop diversion measuring and reporting protocols to facilitate the implementation of the SB 88.
