Kern County Subbasin

The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) released the Final Staff Report for the Kern County Subbasin. The purpose of the Final Staff Report is to inform the State Water Board as it considers whether to designate the Kern County Subbasin as a probationary basin consistent with the requirements of the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA). The probationary hearing for the Kern County Subbasin will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025. Please refer to the Probationary Hearing Notice for more information on how to participate.

Probationary Hearing – February 20, 2025

On Thursday, February 20, 2025, the State Water Board will hold a public hearing to consider designating the Kern County Subbasin as a probationary basin under SGMA.
