Water Rights Enforcement: Cease and Desist Orders (CDOs)

The Board can order diverters to stop an activity that violates water rights requirements or regulations. This is called a Cease and Desist Order or CDO. First, the Division of Water Rights issues a draft CDO. Violators have 20 days to request a hearing before a final CDO is issued.
