eWRIMS – Electronic Water Rights Information Management System

The eWRIMS system is being decommissioned. As of June 9, 2025, Data in eWRIMS is no longer being updated. The eWRIMS public access portal will still be available but will only display data received prior to June 9, 2025. The Division of Water Rights' California Water Accounting, Tracking, and Reporting System (CalWATRS) will replace eWRIMS and will be available for public use starting July 2025.

The Electronic Water Rights Information Management System (eWRIMS) is a computer database developed by the State Water Resources Control Board to track information on water rights in California. eWRIMS contains information on Statements of Water Diversion and Use that have been filed by water diverters, as well as registrations, certificates, and water right permits and licenses that have been issued by the State Water

eWRIMS Database (View Water Rights)

The eWRIMS Database System provides information about water rights throughout California. You can search for water rights by several criteria, including the water right owner's name, watershed, stream system, and county.

eWRIMS Report Management System (RMS)

The eWRIMS Report Management System is no longer available. While you can still search for water rights records in eWRIMS, submitting or amending reports through that system is no longer possible.

Reporting will be available through the new CalWATRS system in October. Visit the CalWATRS webpage for more information about what to expect.
