Notice is hereby given that the Central Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board is accepting comments on a cleanup plan at the former Tecknit and Tube Holding site at 312 and 320 N. Nopal Street, Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara County. The Responsible Parties plan to use in-situ chemical oxidation to cleanup chemicals in groundwater. All remediation work will be conducted in accordance with City and County of Santa Barbara permits. Central Coast Water Board staff will continue to oversee the cleanup activities and determine when the cleanup actions are complete.

The public comment period ends December 14, 2023.

Notice is hereby given that the Central Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board is accepting comments on a cleanup plan at the former Dutch Maid Cleaners site at 3323 State Street, Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara County. The Responsible Parties plan to use a combination of soil vapor extraction and in-situ bioremediation to cleanup chemicals in soil, soil vapor, and groundwater. All remediation work will be conducted in accordance with City and County of Santa Barbara permits. Central Coast Water Board staff will continue to oversee the cleanup activities and determine when the cleanup actions are complete.

The public comment period ends December 18, 2023.

Notice is hereby given that the Central Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board is accepting comments on a revised cleanup plan at Former Printing Impressions, 526 Laguna Street, Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara County. The Responsible Parties plan to excavate ~ 300 cubic yards of soil contaminated with chlorinated solvents. All remediation work will be conducted in accordance with appropriate City and County of Santa Barbara permits and excavated soil will be transported to the appropriate landfill for disposal. Central Coast Water Board staff will continue to oversee the cleanup activities and determine when the cleanup actions are complete.

The public comment period ends November 30, 2023.

Notice is hereby given that the Central Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board is accepting comments on proposed Order No. R3-2023-0033, Waste Discharge and Water Reclamation Requirements for the Pure Water Soquel Groundwater Replenishment Reuse Project, Soquel Creek Water District. The Soquel Creek Water District is developing Pure Water Soquel to produce advanced treated recycled water for injection to the Santa Cruz Mid-County groundwater basin. The Soquel Creek Water District will later extract a portion of the recycled water for potable use.
