Welcome to the Cannabis Regulatory Program
The Central Coast Water Board Cannabis Regulatory Program is the regional component of the State Water Boards Cannabis Cultivation Program that regulates discharges associated with cannabis cultivation within the Central Coast region of California. It does this by using State Water Resources Control Board Order WQ 2023-0102-DWQ (also known as the Cannabis General Order). The Central Coast Water Board Cannabis Regulatory Program focuses on protecting surface and groundwater resources of California's Central Coast region by working with cannabis cultivators to implement the requirements of the State's Cannabis Cultivation Policy; and by working with other state and local government agencies to reduce potential threats to water quality from unregulated cannabis cultivation activities.
