TLS-300 Series, TLS-350 Series, TLS-450 Series, TLS-4 8601 Series, EMC Series, EMC Basic, Red Jacket ProMax
and ProPlus with Float Sensor 794380-430
Detector:
Output type: | qualitative |
Sampling frequency: | continuous |
Operating principle: | float switch |
Test Results:
Float Sensor 794380-430 | unleaded gasoline | diesel* | water | E85 |
Product activation height (in) | 0.95 | 0.90 | 0.89 | 0.90 |
Response time (min) | <1 | <1 | <1 | <1 |
Recovery time (min) | <1 | <1 | <1 | <1 |
TLS-4 8601 Series
(The TLS-4 8601 Series consists of the following derivatives: TLS-4, TLS-4B, TLS-4c, TLS-4i, and TLS-S1 consoles.)
Float Sensor 794380-430 | unleaded gasoline | diesel* | water | E85 |
Product activation height (in) | 1.04 | 0.95 | 0.91 | ** |
Response time (min) | <1 | <1 | <1 | ** |
Recovery time (min) | <1 | <1 | <1 | ** |
*The evaluation determined this sensor's responses to the liquids shown above. Biodiesel blends B6-B20 meeting ASTM D7467 and biodiesel B100 meeting ASTM D6751 would also produce an alarm if the sensor threshold is exceeded. Responses to these fuels were not determined, but would be expected to be very similar to the diesel responses.
** TLS-4 Series testing did not include testing with E-85 fuel. Evaluator expects comparable results from previous testing with other consoles listed.
Evaluations determined that the Float Sensor 794380-430 responds to 100% Lubrizol Ultrazol 9888, 100% Afton OTR 8332G, and 100% Afton OTR 8843G. Alarm and response can be expected to be very similar to the response values listed above.
Comments:
Evaluator reports that alarms may be indicated by an audible alarm, a displayed message on the TLS-350R or TLS-350 console, and a printed message if the console is equipped with a printer.
The alarms are also recorded as part of the TLS-350R or TLS-350 Alarm History Report.
Evaluator reports sensors can easily be removed, cleaned, and reinstalled after an alarm is triggered or for periodic testing.
Sensors are reusable.
Comparison of TLS-450 with TLS-350 series console showed comparable results when evaluated with representative sensors.
