Consultation and Engagement With California Native American Tribes
This webpage provides information on engagement with California Native American Tribes regarding the State Water Board’s current efforts to update and implement the Water Quality Control Plan for the San Francisco Bay/Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Estuary (Bay-Delta Plan).
Meaningful engagement with California Native American Tribes is fundamental to the mission of the State Water Board. Working with California Native American Tribes holds a special value at the Water Boards because of our parallel relationship to the people we serve and because of tribes’ historic knowledge and experience managing California’s water resources since time immemorial.
