Data and Interpretive Tools
SWAMP Data Warehouse
The SWAMP Data Warehouse is provided to Water Boards staff and partner laboratories to quickly download datasets within the SWAMP Data Warehouse. Data within the Warehouse represents all data that is collected by the SWAMP program.
Users can search for bioassessment data by filtering the “Data type” (e.g., filter to “BMI Results” to find bug taxonomy data)
All data publicly available in the SWAMP Data Warehouse is routinely transferred to the California Environmental Data Exchange Network (CEDEN).
If you need assistance, please contact OIMA-Helpdesk@waterboards.ca.gov
NEW! SWAMP Data Dashboard
The SWAMP Data dashboard is an interactive tool for exploring and downloading water quality data collected by SWAMP. The SWAMP Data Dashboard uses data to analyze water quality trends at SWAMP monitoring sites over time.
This dashboard is in public beta and may change at any time without prior notification. All data are provisional and should not be used for any particular purpose other than general reference. Feedback and general inquiries: swamp@waterboards.ca.gov
California Environmental Data Exchange Network (CEDEN)
The California Environmental Data Exchange Network (CEDEN) is a central location to find and share information about California’s water bodies, including streams, lakes, rivers, and the coastal ocean. Many groups in California monitor water quality, aquatic habitat, and wildlife health to ensure good stewardship of our ecological resources, and CEDEN aggregates this data and makes it accessible to environmental managers and the public.
Users can search for bioassessment data by filtering the “Result Category” to “Benthic” or “Habitat” data.
For assistance, please contact the CEDEN Administrator at ceden@waterboards.ca.gov.
