Acceptable Vacuum, Pressure, and Hydrostatic Monitoring Methods
California law requires Underground Storage Tank (UST)systems installed on or after July 1, 2004 must be equipped with continuous vacuum, pressure, or hydrostatic (VPH) monitoring. Understandably, there has been a great deal of interest in the development and certification status of monitoring equipment that can satisfy this requirement. Fortunately, a number of manufacturers have been working diligently to have equipment approved and available. Several monitoring systems have been reviewed and approved as meeting SWRCB requirements.
